1. The short version
- We only collect what we need to deliver your documents and run the service.
- We never sell your personal information.
- Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see your full card number.
- You can delete your data at any time from your account settings.
2. Information we collect
When you use Legal Documents Hub, we collect:
- Account information — name, email, hashed password.
- Document inputs — the answers you give during intake (party names, addresses, dates).
- Payment metadata — Stripe charge IDs, receipts, last-4 of card (we never store full card numbers).
- Technical logs — IP address, browser, timestamps. Used for fraud detection and reliability.
3. How we use it
- To generate and deliver your legal documents.
- To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, document-ready notifications).
- To prevent abuse, fraud, and service disruption.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4. AI providers
We use Google Gemini to draft document content. We send the AI provider only the fields needed to draft your document — never your password, never your full address book, never your payment details. We use cached results whenever a similar request has been made before, so your inputs are processed less often than you might think.
5. Data retention
Documents and intake answers are retained for 365 days unless you choose to delete them sooner. Payment records are kept for 7 years to satisfy accounting and tax requirements. You can request deletion of any non-financial data at any time.
6. Your rights
- Access — see exactly what we have on you.
- Correction — fix anything that's wrong.
- Deletion — remove your account and documents.
- Portability — export your documents as PDF or DOCX at any time.

7. Security
All traffic is encrypted with TLS 1.2+. Passwords are stored using bcrypt with a per-user salt. Payment details never touch our servers — Stripe handles them under PCI-DSS Level 1. We log every administrative action.
8. Cookies
We use a single, strict, HttpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use cross-site advertising cookies or sell your browsing behaviour to third parties.
9. Changes
We'll post material changes on this page and email account holders before they take effect.
